ok, i realise this isn't a medical forum so i want to make it clear that i don't think i'm dying and i'm not really looking for medical advice..

Ok this is quite strange.. but to put it simply i have a weird lump/spot thing at the very lower back(upper arse) where the tail bone is.

It's strange cos i don't know how to get rid of it.. i have only had since February.. Thats when i got a job where i sit down all day and i think that's what's causing it,, maybe its the way i sit?? i put pressure on that particular area? thats what i think anyway..

I know what you think, should probably just sit up straight so i don't put any pressure on that area but thats not easy when you work 10 hours a days.. there's no way i can sit up straight for 10 hours!!!:)

Anyway, it can be quite big at times and it fills with fluid etc(eewww!!).. I wouldn't really car normally but it can be quite painfull and uncomfortable at times which is not good...

So has anyone ever had anythin like this and if so is there any kind of cream/pill that can get rid of it..

    Thanks;)

A mate of mine had something like that and he ended up having surgery.

Then again it could be nothing important.

However you must go to the doctor as you actually are looking for medical advice.

    Check out http://www.medicinenet.com/boils/article.htm
Pilonidal cyst: This is a unique kind of abscess that occurs in the crease of the buttocks. Pilonidal cysts often begin as tiny areas of infection in the base of the area of skin from which hair grows (the hair follicle). With irritation from direct pressure over time the inflamed area enlarges to become a firm, painful, tender nodule making it difficult to sit without discomfort. These frequently form after long trips that involve prolonged sitting.
Did you go to the doctor?
