INJECT
tell me what you see,
in the man that stands before me,
amongst screaming alarms,
founded in smiles, winks & charms,
tear the veil & the paper flowers,
I become the under, the lost, the coward.

walk the streets, cigarette lit
the only light from the smoke I see,
the mirrors smashed, the room dark,
me left alone with my tears to comfort,
the man, the child, the soul at war.

change the times, oblivious to the signs,
avoid the man I once was torn asunder,
no chemical balance to qwell the wave,
no goodbyes, just tears on your shoulder,
words of little comfort as you hold me.

the lonely position of nowhere,
in the reflection I see the pig,
burning my own eyes from the stare,
my own failures not what I intend,
crying for the one on who my life depends.

could it be I don't wanna save myself anymore,
is it just we don't have what it takes,
caught up in the web of the past,
releasing my feelings my only mistake,
my own shadow's overcast,
as I take it away to nevermore,
bury me under for sweet release,
leaving me weak & powerless....
