What is the best way to take the audio from a dvd concert and convert it to mp3. Freeware if possible and a high bit rate >192

You'll need something for ripping DVD's, like DVD Decypter - with this you need to set it to "demux audio" (it's there somewhere). You should get from this an AC3 (Dolby Digital) file, which you can play in some programs like Media Player Classic. If you want to convert it to MP3, get BeSweetGUI.

All these programs are free, and probably on www.doom9.org somewhere.
