    Hey folks,
    Simple question:
Is there any way I can record .avi files to CD so that it can be read by DVD players on the likes of a PlayStation2 or do I have to burn them to DVD first?

    Ta,
    S.

    I don't think so.
I have tried to play a vcd in a ps2 and it didn't support it.
Most modern DVD players support vcd's but for some strange reason the ps2 player doesnt seem to unless newer models do.....

ps2 need to be chipped to play any thing other than dvd, even then on the 1's ive seen chipped you need to download something to put on to the cd with the avi file in order to get it to work, kind like the folder structure of a (s)vcd

buy an xbox m8, u can do all that with it when chipped and more without having to add extra files to the cd with the avi file in order to play it or anything
