While I wasn't a big fan Stefan Golaszewski's last series "Marriage" (with Nicola Walker and Sean Bean), I do still think he's one of the strongest writers in the UK at the minute (along with Jack Thorne). His flair to write both hilarious comedy and affecting drama grounded in realism is unbelievably impressive.

Having seen 2 episodes of his latest series "Babies" (all episodes available on iPlayer and airing weekly on Monday and Tuesday nights on BBC1), he's definitely onto another winner.

Equal parts funny and heartbreaking with some incredible lead performances from Paapa Essiedu and Siobhán Cullen.

    Can't recommend it enough!

Two episodes in myself and it’s already got that rare thing where even the smallest conversations feel loaded with emotion.
