Anyone used one of these for part emptying bulk fertiliser bags?

I thought one would be handy but checking to see if anyone had prior of them.

See there are 2 types for sale a galv one and one made from some type of plastic. Later would probably last better.

Have the plastic type. Handy enough in fairness. Just let it down on level ground.

We’ve the plastic one here too and it’s been very handy, especially for part-used bags. Less rust worries than the galvanised type and quick to set up once the bag is steady. Definitely worth having if you’re handling bulk regularly.

Does it stay put? I seen a video recently (farm with jack or farm theory, I think) and they said theirs had a tendency to let fert it as the wings don't do their job.

Ya. Mine doesn't work. I close it and the whole thing falls out like the wings dont do their job. Stopped using it.

Have it sitting beside me at the minute.

Would longer tabs hold it in better?

I've the galvanized one it think I bought it from McCabe feeds. Never had an issue of spillage out of mine, my spreader only takes 1200kg and I've never had an issue with the third bag.

I have one but I still find myself bucketing fert out and back into the half tonne bags as its as quick as getting the tractor to lift it above the spreader. I also have a general idea what kg I'm giving from the bucket but that's just me
