    thanks. Have mine done, know someone looking to do it but they had been told it wouldn’t meet coillte requirements.

    They will accept all 3 courses ran in Ireland. The nargc one. Hcap and country sports Ireland

    is there any way around doing this bloody course just to shoot deer on your own land, the fee doesn’t bother me too much but not possible to waste 2 days at it

    Unfortunately, I believe the answer is no. Deer have the protection of the Wildlife Acts and subordinate legislation. The Open Seasons Orders, specify the periods when they may be stalked. To stalk deer you must have a license either S29 or out of season S42. The NPWS will not issue the license unless you've successfully completed one of the approved courses.
