Volvo 231 XC40 PHEV vs 261 Mild hybrid

I would appreciate some advice on whether to buy a 231 XC40 PHEV or a 261 XC40 mild hybrid. The PHEV is a UK import sold by a Dublin dealer with low mileage (21k).The price difference between the two vehicles is €13K. Thanks

I do know of someone who went from xc60 diesel to phev xc40 and hates it ..just doesn't like the plugging in but that's just her

Never had a PHEV . Not sure the inconvenience of plugging in everyday worth the savings

I have a phev xc60, came from an ID3. I live in Dublin and a lot of work is around the m50 or in town, with the odd visit to sites down the country.
I fill with petrol every 3-4 weeks. Charge every second night, sometimes every night.
Obviously if you don’t charge when required you will be wasting money by driving a car with the dead weight of the battery making it more inefficient.

Worth nothing that the battery does make the boot that bit smaller, doesn’t bother me but have a look to check for yourself.

Yeah its a real inconvenience having to plug a cable in every night! Takes me all of maybe 10sec.

Ah if your sharing a tight enough garden with not a lot of space to manoeuvre it can become a right pain. I certainly wouldn't go back to plugging in every night
