Measuring the resistance of a resistance band

Resistance scales linearly with how far you stretch it.
So hard to compare supplier numbers with a band at home unless know how they test, eg 50% stretch, 100% stretch etc.

Rogue Monster Bands have similar numbers to the product you linked. But they also quote a thickness, as well as confirm that quoted force is based on 100% stretch. Rogue don't have a 34mm band, but scaling the nearest size suggest it would be around 22/23kg rather that the 15/16kg you were getting. Worth checking how much it was stretched in your test.

Oh wow, I had wondered about this and it's harder to fathom than I thought - I try to work it out using the scales with my own body weight

It's pretty easy to measure. Hand weights from a band and find out what weight equals 100% stretch.
Can also use cable or plate loaded machines for consistency
