Big surprise, should've won the PGA in 2022 if not for that disastrous tee shot. Was dreadful on LIV since he moved over there.

Sounds like he was homesick and after making his money called it quits. Seems like a real waste of potential though.

I wonder will this become a common thing with the LIV players?

I don't really keep up with the goings on at LIV but it does sound like they are reneging on their own initial sales pitch, piece by piece, over the past year. You certainly don't see many of the golfers banging the drum for it anymore.

I can't seem to find how much he was paid to join, but it seems he made somewhere in the region of 18 million on-course. I assume he got as much again for joining, if not more considering McKibben got ~10 million and Pereira was a much earlier signing.

Based on that if he's any bit homesick or burnt out I don't blame him for bowing out!
