Error codes on Skoda Superb-serious issue or not??

I recently purchased a 2018 Diesel Skoda Superb secondhand from an independent dealer.Am very happy with it,very comfortable car with spacious interior and seems to be fairly efficient from a fuel economy perspective.

Some ‘error’ warning messages have popped up on it,they all came on together iykwim.Car is driving absolutely fine but wanted to check what likely cause would be for these particular warnings and whether or not it could be a serious (or expensive) thing to fix?

Have a 3 month warranty on car but bought it a good distance away so would probably get it checked on computer in main dealer Skoda garage nearby and get any work needed done there.Garage I bought it in were bang on regarding everything to do with purchase of car etc.

    Errors are-

    1-Tyre pressure loss indicator

    2-Start stop System

    3-Cornering light Afs

    4-ABS Stabilisation Control (esc)

    5-Hill hold assist

So basically just wondering what’s best and worse scenario of what may be up with it?

A mate who’s into cars said it may just be a sensor that’s playing up.

One other quirky thing that’s happened is that in last week, the car horn is only working at kind of half the loudness it should be and it sounds like it’s a Eunuch now!🙂….makes a very gentle sound.

Would that be difficult (expensive) to get fixed?

Thanks for any advice or replies.

Scan for codes, its probably a battery if its the original have it load tested and go from there, if you are replacing the battery, it must be coded to the car with a scanner.

That happened to a friend of mine and it turned out to be a sensor problem near one of the front wheels. 2016 Octavia

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Probably just an ABS sensor. Very common and a cheap quick fix. Just let the dealer know and see if it's covered under warranty.

Most likely this, happens on a lot of VAG cars, despite the many lights freaking you out it is often just a speed sensor. Cheap and easy to sort.

Thanks for the replies regarding warning messages appearing.

Meant to say that on a few occasions since they appeared when you start the car and drive, there are no warning messages showing. That could be the case for a few short trips in a day (which involves engine being turned off/on)…….and out of blue they will reappear later that day!

Appreciate any thoughts on my ‘Eunuch’ sounding horn?🫣

Likely to be an expensive or inexpensive fix?🤞

Normal enough. Sometimes the error won't go away whereas sometimes it's intermittent. It can take a while for the computer to pick up on the fault. Just contact the dealer letting them know the warning lights are on. Don't mention that you think it's a sensor as it could be something more serious

My guess is a "speed sensor" in one of the wheels - but a quick plug in to the right diagnostics software will give the specific fault code.

Yep, all those codes could have the same root cause of an ABS Sensor. As it happens my brother's 2018 Passat had one go too.

I know you know, but the wheel speed sensor is taken as an input to almost every single subsystem in the car, from speed sensitive radio volume, to wipers, to traction control, so it'll light up light a Christmas tree if one of them is dodgy.

Personally I'd nearly rather see 10 warnings with a single root cause than one niggly one which I couldn't locate.
