Is Sky Mobile scam?

I've been with their customer service more times that I've been with my current provider ever.

They have the iPhone for 0 euro upfront so I went to the website and did the whole process to pay for the phone (which is never 0 euro) and change from Vodafone to Sky. Well… I've gone through the process 5 or 6 times already and it is always the same. They ask you to pass a screening process for the loan and I do it correctly, they charge me for the phone and then send me an email automatically saying they have cancelled the order.

Again this has happened to me several times already and I have to call to claim the money back, otherwise instead of rejecting the transaction, they charge you. I spent an hour today on the phone to get this sorted with all sort of "security questions". Horrific

I definitely won't go with them but makes me wonder if there is an actual scam where they are just keeping peoples money if they don't claim it or if that is giving them temporary cash or something. Who knows

Try reporting them to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

No it should just be a hold on your card for the amount, it will be cancelled within few days and show back in your balance. They do some checks after you've submitted the order so maybe that's why they are being cancelled.

I've found the customer support to be better messaging them through Facebook/Instagram.

These government agencies like the CCPC are useless. They will just tell you that they will note your complaint and tell you to do a chargeback or go to the Small Claims Court.

That's what I thought. I waited for 3 weeks and no return until I called. They cash every single time
