    Hi,

I have a 4m by 3m garden office, work 9-5 there more or less. Shanette, 80mm insulation, room slabbed and plastereed. Looking at getting a convector heater that can stand on the floor. There's so many makes & models, any recommendations please?

    Thanks in advance!

Wall mounted is much safer and less likely to fall over and burn the place down. Often the electrics to such sheds are dodgy, but assuming full power is available any 2kW heater will output the same heat. Avoid units with fans. If say the shed is 0 degrees it will take a long time to heat up so one with a built in timer can be set to preheat say 30 minutes before you start working from home. All electric heaters like this are relatively expensive ways to heat an area. If you have a smart meter avoid having the heater on during peak pricing hours. Sometimes the digital timers can be difficult to program. I would avoid a separate plug in timer. Do not unplug the heater regularly as this can wear the socket and make it more likely to overheat. Running the heater at half power is safer from a melting plug point of view but it will take twice as long to heat. If you set the thermostat on the unit it will cut itself off when the room meets normal temperature.
