Ordering from PCSpecialist

    Hi All

I last built a PC over 10 years ago, but it is very old, and was never meant for gaming, but I did a couple of upgrades to allow some small gaming. No parts available from the old PC, it is still being used by the family.

I am finally in a position to buy again, I have no time to build at the moment so was thinking of ordering the following built PC from PCSpecialist.

Main gaming for son and myself is Euro Trucks Sim 2, Fortnite, Minecraft and Rocket League.

My limit is a hard 1600 euro. Using a standard 1080 monitor at the moment, but I will be saving for a better spec monitor next year.

PCS LUMIN XF ARGB MID TOWER CASE (PWM)
    AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D Six Core CPU (4.0GHz-4.5GHz/102MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5)
    ASUS® TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI (AM5, DDR5, M.2 PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7)
    32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 5200MHz CL40 (2 x 16GB)
16GB MSI GEFORCE RTX 5060 Ti SHADOW 2X OC PLUS BULK - HDMI, 3 x DP
    1TB CRUCIAL P310 GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7100MB/sR, 6000MB/sW)
    CORSAIR 650W CX SERIES™ CX-650 POWER SUPPLY
PCS FrostFlow 100 ARGB V3 Series High Performance CPU Cooler

I had picked a slightly cheaper build with W11 but the intel i5 14600k is now out of stock, so i did the above build, dropped W11 (I should be able to get on Kinguin)

PC Specialist all say it is compatible, but of course that does not mean it is a good combination, especially for gaming and I also hope decent future proofing using this motherboard and GPU.

Thank you for taking the time to review this 😁

Looks good, and with RAM prices hyper-inflating it's a decent deal.

7500X3D is a better gaming CPU than i5-14600K.

I would upgrade PSU to Corsair RMe 650 if it's still within budget - higher quality, more efficiency and double the warranty (10yrs vs 5 of CX)

Yes i should be able to stretch to RMe 650. It is an extra 23e

    Better case

    Better CPU

    Better Ram speed and timing

    Slightly cheaper board

Cheaper card for the same performance

Slightly higher PSU for future proofing

Better cooler ( although PCS stuff is questionable )

You could drop the PSU down to the 650w and maybe squeeze a 2TB nvme but with sales they're pretty cheap most of the year so easy to pick one up when needed.

Use code TRMZ40 for 48Euro off as well

Thanks Dan. Unfortunately I have already ordered and paid for the earlier spec. I am sure it will be good for my requirements.

I appreciate you taking the time to do this

No worries at all, it will work well either way.

They usually allow you to change the spec before its built for no extra fee, excepting when you change to a more expensive part.

Thanks. I will leave it as it is. With the little extras I am getting it will be closer to 1700 but I do appreciate your advise and thanks again for taking the time.

I know i will be happy with the one I have ordered, it is far superior to what i currently have.
