Like manuel i know nothing. My 14 yr old has asked for a ga.ing pc but i havent a breeze. He plays cod etc i just want to get something with good graphics and reputatuon.

For those who build their own PC pcspecialist.ie is the go to place for parts. They have a few custom builds that they are offering for sale, with some good value to be had.

If your budget is 1k, you will get a very good gaming PC for that, just remember, as well as the PC itself, you will need a monitor, keyboard and mouse too. You don't want to spend your budget on just the computer and come christmas morning your son is asking "er… where's the monitor and the keyboard?"

Can I also recommend looking at refurbed.ie? You could get a very good monitor from them for less than 100.
