Electric gate only closing halfway

    Hi all

    I replaced my electric gate swing motor last week. It initially worked fine. However a few days ago I opened the cover to find the new motor totally submerged in water. I drained it out and the gate seemed to work away again. However now the gate will only close halfway and it takes several attempts to get it to close fully. Any ideas what could b wrong? Is the motor damaged from the water?

    It might be cutting out based on the motor's torque. Does it complete the close action if the gate is guided somewhat?

    I haven't done anymore investigating tbh. I will try do a video of it at the weekend and post it here. Thanks for reply.just hope the water hasn't damaged it!!
