I am looking forward to this. The 1939 adaptation is the best of the bunch so far.

I do love the book. I am hoping that this new movie really gets the atmosphere that comes across so strongly in the book. Previous versions never really got this IMO. I want to feel the cold of the moors!

I loved the book and old films but I don't think Margot Robbie is the right fit for this role. From Barbie to Cathy...it's a stretch. She is definitely not how I picture Cathy.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

So many talented young British actresses who would fill the role better but the movie would probably pass unnoticed and it would fade in to obscurity. Male lead looks like he can be a good Heath cliff. Robbie's Luckychap production company is driving this so it appears to be her own passion project but I would have liked if she stepped aside as she had done in one of her productions recently to let Samara Weaving lead a movie.

Margot Robbie is one of Hollywood's best right now but unless this is supposed to be some sort of re-imagining of the story (which wouldn't be surprising from Emerald Fennell) she's still a 35 year old woman playing a character who's supposed to be half her age.

EDIT: It also seems like it's officially titled "Wuthering Heights" with the quotation marks included, which could also suggest it's not a straight adaptation.

It could also mean nothing as I find Emerald Fennell to be very style over substance.

Still think the Ralph Fiennes version was the most true to the story.

emma mackey who looks like robbie could be a good casting in the role of cathy , it will be the chemistry between the leads that will sell it
