Home brewing in Ireland

I was big into home brewing up until around 2016 (ish). I kept a lot my gear ( mash tun, boiler, cornies, and everything needed should I ever start again). I did get rid of my temp controlled fermentation chamber and kegerator but such is life!

Fast forward to 2025 and the 2 kids are older enough now to not really care about whatever I'm is doing so I decided to dust off the kit and look at getting started again. Where is everybody!? All the original forums from around the time are either gone or hardly anybody is posting on them. I see there is only really 2 homebrew stores left also, with a huge amount of their items out of stock!

So, is the hobby dying or am I looking in the wrong place!

The hobby has shrunk, but it's forums that are dying. There are still plenty of people brewing, though the organised groups are in fairly small pockets. Dublin's homebrew club seems to be very active still, but I understand that mostly happens on their Whatsapp rather than web forums.

Like Beernut said, it's mostly moved to Whatsapp. Particularly the National Homebrew Club who have a big community.

Where are you based?. Most clubs have monthly meets with homebrews brought along. As above dublin I'd very active. Louth have a good group. Plenty others. Im in swords and have a good crew up here. Let us know where you are based???
