I was reading the Racing Post this morning and Andrew Balding was basically saying that today’s race was a preparation race for the Prix de l’Arc. This is wrong and shows how bad / corrupt horse racing is. If a horse isn’t going to attempt to win a RACE, why is it entered in to a race? Why are punters allowed to put their hard earned cash on it, when it’s not actually going to go all out and win. It’s a disgrace.

How the horse was odds on, when the trainer was saying these things in the media could also be a little suspect. Granted not every punter reads the RP, but would a bookmaker not adjust the odds to attract the favourite backers when they know the horses team aren’t that bothered?

FYI - If not already obvious, the horse was 2nd. Who’d have thought it? 🤷🏼‍♂️ Don’t gamble folks!
