Same to you eagle eye, and everyone here

So Cowboys really should have won by more but they got the W and that's all that matters.

I expect a hiding here. The Lions know it's likely over and they'll be very peed off about that. I expect them to score early and often and the Vikings starting a QB with no TD passes and 4 ints doesn't help their chances of keeping it close.

That worked out well for ye Eagle Eye pmsl

Night game was surprising as well, Broncos get there late.

I can't believe how far the Lions have fallen on offense. The defense is in trouble with injuries but they've got all their weapons on offense although the offensive line is quite poor.

Just a reminder, as said on previous page by odyssey that both of tonight's games (Texans at Chargers 9.30, Ravens at Packers 01.00) are on Sky Sports Mix, the free station for any Virgin Media subscribers.

    *****
Season is rather ambling to a conclusion. AFC North could well be decided tonight meaning all 7 play-off places confirmed with only position left to play for.
And only one place remaining in the NFC, and as it's the NFC South it unfortunately barely registers a blip on the interest radar.
I fear they'll eventually use this season as an excuse to expand the play-off fields to 8 giving two more lucrative play-off games - even though it doesn't actually change the chances of there being games of interest in the final week.

That Texans is vicious, it's a joy to watch. I love great offensive teams but I think I love a top class defense more.

Just saw the little piece on Sky about the Bill's new stadium (which is thankfully not a dome) and Jason Bell, Reinbold being blown away by them having an indoor warm up area as if it was some incredible idea. They've had an indoor warm-up area in Croke Park for the last 20 years.Show you what a bunch of cheapskates the NFL owners are if this isn't a standard feature of any non domed stadium in the NFL.

Patriots Jets game is as close to a D1 vs D2 college game as you'll find.

I hate when teams pull the QB when he's on pace to smash the TD record. Let Maye go for it.

I thought the first half in the Raiders Giants game would be like 3-3 or something but evidently the Giants don't care about the no.1 pick in next year's draft.

Love a good defensive battle and Eagles Bills is not disappointing.

Bills could still stage a huge comeback here in the final few minutes.

    Never change Buffalo, never change.

Man, they very nearly did. Would have deserved it too as even with the Eagles defense they managed to move the ball a lot in the second half whereas the Eagles offense were almost completely shut out. Poor throw by Allen unfortunately at the end.

Won't complain though. Eagles now 11-5 going into final week against the Commanders with a chance at the #2 seed.

My word, Cook being kept quiet, and out of a good few 3rd down situations, has basically won me my first ever fantasy league.

Well a 26 point cushion with my opponent having a questionable London left to play, so not quite done yet. But the fact Maye was benched early helped my cause too 😎

Bears niners is just a complete shootout, like watching a college game

The last play falling incomplete wasn't even the worst part. Burden got hurt and had to be carted off.

Great game though. If Caleb plays next week he needs 270 passing to be our first 4k QB

**** it dude, let's go bowling.

Wasn't devastated. We put ourselves in a position to win it and it didn't work out. It happens. BUT, we've been told all year that we're fools gold, there's always an excuse when we get the win, team we played beat themselves, etc. But we hung all day with a really really good offense and showed we can do it. If we played the niners next week I would fancy us. Looking like we play the Packers in the playoffs, dunno if that's for sure, but again, I would have no fear of them or, frankly, anyone else. Go bears

It was another great game. All the way to the 2, I was sure it was happening again.

Everybody has to love these Bears.

I don't think I'm being at all biased when I say that Drake Maye is on a different level to any other QB in the league this season. If he doesn't get the MVP it's wrong.

As an Eagles fan, that was a bitter sweet victory last night. Was fuming (yet again) with the inept play of that talented offense. 13-0 lead with about 5 mins to go and nearly blew it. The one TD set up from a turnover by the defense.

How does a superbowl calibre team go a full second half with 4 punts, three 3 and outs and not one complete pass? Think 17 total yards. That Eagles defense is legitimate, but is carrying this team at the moment.

If you lose to the Lions you can drop to the 3 seed(assuming an eagles win), which could mean the 49ers again in Soldier Field.

Same issue that's been plaguing us all season; take a strong early lead, then play it safe by constantly running Barkley up the middle or throwing short to the sides gaining at best 2-3 yards (and usually even losing yards), then trying to throw deep on 3rd down and either incomplete or Hurts having to throw it away, and then punting.

Most of the 3rd downs in the second half last night, not only were they not converted but most weren't even targeted throws. Just throwaways or a sack.

It's the offensive playcalling, it has been since the start of the season. They are not making any adjustments as the game goes on, just the same short and safe nonsense and over-reliance on the defense to keep their heads above water.

There's nothing wrong with being safe the first two downs to get to 3rd and short, but when you're not getting enough yards on those plays (our O-line hasn't been great due to injuries), you have got to make adjustments even just to keep the opposing defense on their toes, and the OC simply is not making those adjustments.

Agree with everything you and @KaiserGunner said. I was watching the game in a pub and the non nfl people were looking at me as I was swearing at the tv for the second half. Also, can they snap the ball sooner ? This thing of letting the clock get down to 0:01 nearly every play is stressing me out. Also, that play were hurts runs to his right and throws the ball near the sideline is so pointless.

who would bench Maye, especially against the Jets!? Madness

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,940 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

The Pats benched him towards the end of the third quarter, with job done. My opponent was fuming 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 13,660 ✭✭✭✭AbusesToilets

so was I. The record was there for the taking. Thankfully he and Diggs had already done enough for me to win at a stroll this week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,733 ✭✭✭KaiserGunner

Im in the final of my paid fantasy league. I've a 16 point lead, with London left to play. My opponent has Bijan Robinson left. I think im in serious trouble tonight.

Seems like the Saturday night / overnight games will also be shown on Sky Sports Mix

    930pm Panthers v Bucs

    1am Seahawks v 49ers
