Cohabiting bill legal rights

Cohabitation rights query.. story is relative built a log cabin on he's fathers land and one year later he's girlfriend moved in. They both stayed there for four years but there relationship broke down on year 3. She left after year 4. During that time she spent some money on fixtures etc but not to electric heating etc. After She left 2 years pass by and out of the blue a court order arrives here that she is looking for redress and maitance now bear in mind these are both nearly 60 years old. He's father died one year ago which left him the farm land. In this court thing that came it has about the land he received from he's father etc. It also has her bank account statements showing her cost of living and she has 67k in the bank but still struggling to live and looking for redress and maintenance?

Now we had a quick chat with our solicitor and he said she could have a right to he's inheritance even though that was left to him after she was gone? This is causing serious issues here as you can imagine on a family farm. This cohabiting bill hardly gives that sort of right to some one staying in a cabin with no planning in someone eles land at the time? Any advice please on the actual rights in a situation where 2 years after they have left are open to claim a future inheritance?
