    Hi all,

Recently purchased a Seiko 5 and completed the online warranty registration form - https://seikowatchesusa.com/watch-registration as suggested in the warranty card that came with the watch.

I just got a genric email response as follows:

Thank you for registering your Seiko timepiece. Your registration has been received.

What happens now? Will I get a follow up notification letting me know the watch warranty is active?

Also its a limited edition watch so I assume the limited edition serial number (xxxx/xxxx) also applies to the caseback number which is also required in the form?

    Thanks for any advice.

    "Your registration has been received"
Thats it, thats confirmation that your warranty is active.
The serial number and the ltd edition number will most likely be linked on the Seiko database.

That said, unless you are making a warranty claim within the US?
I dont know how much store I'd put in a US warranty.
Generally, Seiko are good to deal with warranty claims on a Global basis and the likelihood you will ever need to avail of it?
    Is low too.
    Enjoy your new watch/

    Thanks for the input.

In the box there was a warrany card which outlined that I should register with seiko and they included that link / url to the USA warranty / registration page. I'm a total watch newbie so i've really no idea what I'm doing tbh…

I can only assume if the serial number was wrong or the watch was of dubious origin I would not get a return email as described?

    Thanks

Not so much of "dubious origin" but sometimes its just a matter of watches meant for one market reaching another. Its very rarely an issue and I've honestly never heard of it being an issue with Seiko.
They are generally a great company to deal with on the rare occassions issues do crop up.

    What'd you buy?
Be sure to share a photo or 2 over on the photo thread.
