Personal Loan / Mortgage advice

    Hello!

Just looking for advice if possible. I have inherited our family house , all good on the family front. No squabbles, no hard feelings. There is ALOT of work needed on the house, it was built circa 50s , and had numerous extensions and add ons over the years, but nothing since the 90s. Electrical, insulation, plumbing all need redone. And thats not even taking into account renovations to bring into the 21st century! My question is- can I get a mortgage on a house that im not actually buying? But yet needs 150k-180k to do it?

Any personal loan I've looked at has a max value, and a max term time. And I can't afford the huge repayments over short time frame.

I'm feeling totally overwhelmed, with no idea where to start. I assume it best to get in a contractor who knows what theyre doing start to finish as opposed to trying to organise direct labour myself.

    Thanks In advance
