He is an employee, once he serves his probation he be freer to tackle the serious issues of the Nation. I believe probation is a year in the public sector, rather than 6 months. One of those differences that are illegal in the real world.

'So Mary, you've lost your rosary beads on the bus last week. You were visiting your sister who has just got over a bout of influenza and was in hospital for the previous week, and were taking the 151 bus back home. You say you were gifted the rosary beads by your grandmother in 1952. So what's your opinion on potential policy reaction from the Trump administration and also US-based corporation repercussions in reaction to the passing a form of the Occupied Territories Bill in the Dail ?"

Yeah. Think De Lahvlahn is never gonna stray too far overall. Bored Kieran or no.

Kind of surprised they're not covering Hugh Wallace. Was he mentioned in the intro?

AFAIK they have very few Jewish pupils anymore.

I was friends with both Jewish and non Jewish lads who went there. They hated each other, I could never let on the non Jewish lad I also knew a couple of his Jewish class mates. This was about 40 years ago. Sad really.

Ask him what he thinks of the women and children in graves in Gaza . What would they think of his thoughts of inclusion. I have no time for the sanctioned free Palestine yobs by the way.

Now that he is on about schools ask him can we have a conversation about the language schools run by Pakistan lads based in England. These give us thousands of people who never go home.More interesting topic in my humble opinion.

Chaim Herzog was Irish. Ya, so Irish when he was old enough(17) he couldn't wait to leave Ireland and never came back.

The "anti-Semitic" BS line is constantly trotted out as soon as you criticise Israel. There is a problem with the name Herzog, there still is.

Netanyahu officially asks Israeli president for pardon

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked the country's president for a pardon in his years-long corruption trial, arguing that criminal proceedings were hindering his ability to govern and a pardon would be good for Israel.

Mr Netanyahu, the country's longest-serving prime minister, has long denied the bribery, fraud, and breach of trust charges. His lawyers said in a letter to the president's office that the prime minister still believes the legal proceedings would result in a complete acquittal.

"My lawyers sent a request for pardon to the president of the country today. I expect that anyone who wishes for the good of the country support this step," Mr Netanyahu said in a brief video statement released by his political party, Likud.

President Isaac Herzog's office announced earlier that the request had been received, releasing the letter from the lawyers."

Let's see what his impeccable son does.

The government are some shower, interfering and saying the name shouldn't be changed. Simon Harris saying this morning that proper procedures haven't been followed. Convenient cherry picking.

How about the procedures that weren't followed back in 1995, when the park was named after Chaim Herzog, who was still alive, despite the rule that places shouldn't be named after anyone until they're dead at least 20 years.

Change the name of the park to someone who doesn't have blood on their hands.

This is boring stuff. Cannot we not have a few opinionated Taxi Drivers on to complain about an App dictating their employment. With a few commuters on the other side, complaining about the traffic chaos the Taxi protests cause.

Does nose picking count as litter?

All this craic about renaming the park reminds me of the fictional Ross O Carroll Kelly book from around a decade ago where the feminists got the names of all the streets in Dublin with men's names changed.

Reality stranger than fiction it seems.
