I got an email yesterday telling me that IVS has ceased trading.

I have been a long term subscriber and I will miss it's monthly focus on Irish vintage news.

All the best to Tom and his team for the future and thanks for the memory.

Irish Vintage Scene has ceased trading

All good things come to an end.

Around now you should be reading the July issue of Irish Vintage Scene but I’m afraid I have some bad news for you.

It is with deep regret I wish to inform you that Irish Vintage Scene Ltd ceased trading and called a creditors meeting last Friday the 13th June. After 19 years of publishing Irish Vintage Scene every month and Retro Classics every quarter we have cease production. In recent years especially since Covid it has been a struggle to survive in an industry that is struggling to survive. Print media is becoming a thing of the past and now there are two less publications on the shelf.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every person that supported Irish Vintage Scene over the last 19 years in any way, it was a great journey and I know I have friends in every town in Ireland because of this amazing journey, I’m sure we will meet again as my love for all things vintage is not going away.

As the saying goes “all good things come to an end”.

Terrible news. Irish Vintage Scene and Retro Classics were great magazines, wonderfully produced and well written articles. Amazing they kept it going so long really.

A shame. Myself and my late father took in many a Sunday show in his last years and it was IVS that kept us in the loop about what was on and where. A sign of the times.

It's a desperately sad thing to lose Irish Vintage Scene. It was a very hard to find magazine. I hope I can get my hands on the last issue.

Very sad indeed and now we might lose Boards too.

I was a subscriber to IVS and enjoy the chats on the Motoring Forum here. Not a good year 😞

About back issues, there was a discussion on the IVS Facebook page a month ago.

Some back issues were in stock.

I don't know what happened since.
