2025 EPA competition: Scientific Officer /Inspector

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has received an offer yet or has any insight into how the panel for this position is progressing?

It’s been about two weeks since panel results were released. They moved pretty quickly to issue feedback (I got my result the day after my interview), so I was curious if things were moving just as quickly with offers.

I know these processes can be notoriously slow (and the panel is active for a year), but just checking in to see if anyone has heard anything yet. From what I gather, there are roles in multiple locations — Castlebar, Dublin, Wexford, Kilkenny, Cork — so I imagine that might affect timing too.😊

i presume it's the officer II (level 4)?

they seem to burn through those panels like mad. always thought it would be a great place to work, and maybe it is, but huge turnover

if you haven't already i'd probably email s. staunton and they might sort you out

Hey @chipfox thanks for the reply! Its actually the officer III (level 5). I've been holding off on emailing the HR team since it hasnt been super long… but I think I will now! Who is s. staunton by the way?

normally that member or staff deals with the interview stuff. could be someone else though. but absolutely email them, they're really open and happy to help
