Sorting through some of my fathers old stuff and came across this old Rotary watch.

What should I do with it? Its probably at least 40 years old but works perfectly as far as I can tell. Strap is too small for me and I don't wear a watch anyway. You can see from the picture that its been well worn.

If you have your own kids they might want it once they're old enough to understand sentimental value.

If it's working, definitely don't bin it. Plenty of folk here who would be happy to take it (myself included), charity shops would probably take it or you might have family members who would appreciate it, as T-Maxx says

It really doesn't have any sentimental value. My father was a car boot sale addict and that is where this watch will have come from. This wasn't a watch he used. I've binned probably two dozen junk watches which weren't working and even if they were had minimal value. There were a couple of half decent watches I'd already redistributed friends and family. I only gave thought to this one today after putting it aside some 5 years ago after his death. I was looking through a box of his "better" car boot gems when I spotted this one again.

Kids these days don't seem to understand the value of anything that existed before they were born. So you might as well hang on to it and maybe the future grandchildren will appreciate it.

if it was me I’d just put it in a drawer and forget about it.
Bug if you really don’t want it give it to a charity shop
