Claim Suspended

    Hi Guys,

I was made redundant 2 weeks ago. I'm receiving the new Pay Related Job Seekers Benefit, and have collected it twice so far.

Im going away for a week on Friday, I know I need to inform them, so I did just that when I signed on for the first time yesterday. The woman at the counter said I was late informing, but gave me a form to speed up the process.

Later I got a message from my welfare saying "Thank you for your recent jobseeker’s holiday request". However it now says my claim status is suspended.

Is this normal procedure? Am I required to sign on again when I return after my week away? I presume I collect 2 weeks payment when I get back?

Sorry about all the questions, there seems to be conflicting information online

Did you ring them for clarification?
