Electric bike / e bike / e-bike motor and controller replacement

I recently bought a new e bike for commute but not happy with the motor or the controller. Any recommendations for where to get this replaced? Based in Dublin.

why are you unhappy with the motor?

have you approached any of your local bike shops? that said, many will probably balk at the notion of modifying a new e-bike which they did not sell to you.

I'm unhappy with the motor as it cuts off at 23/24kmh. I cycle mostly on empty road and would need a bit more speed. I understand why local bike shops wouldn't replace a motor on a new bike, which is why I'm asking here!

You'll need to ask elsewhere so as legally that would turn your bike into a moped, so falls outside the parameters of the cycling forum.

They all cut off pedal assistance at 25kmh and are rated to 250w motor output, to comply with the law.

As already mentioned, modifying it to surpass those parameters and you're on a moped, requiring tax, insurance and a driving licence.
