Can't find a preschool place for my toddler.

I stupidly (and I have no idea why) thought that you registered for preschool/ECCE like you do for primary school and register her in October '24 for September '25.

I found out in January that she hadn't been offered a place in two preschools, and was still waiting on a third. I checked in with them several times, I either got no answer or was told soon or next week. Finally today, I got an email. Waitlisted with a 'few' children ahead of her.

I feel like I let her down. She's an only child and could really do with being socialised. I know she would just love the structure and learning, she's that kinda kid.

So what now, I was told by one preschool that next year will also be tricky as she'd be eligible for the older class due to her age and those places are reserved for the current younger class. I've checked back in with the other preschools, no luck. I've emailed around but nothing yet, and no where answers their phones.

Anyone else have a similar experience, what do I do?
