The gym opens at 6am and closes at approx 10:30. Does anyone know the busy time periods during a working week? New and looking to try and get in when not too busy as new to this. Thanks in advance!

I was a member of the Leopardstown one for a year and a half but have been in the Clontarf gym for the part year.

compared with Leopardstown it’s just always busy, I’ve never been to Clontarf without it being quite busy, the car parking can be a nightmare also.

If you’re going to use the pool it has been broken quite often over the last few months.

Oh nooo...does it mean I'm queueing for machines and spending hours in there🤔

it's really busy most of the time. i'm fortunate enough to be able to go at around 730am before work, this is one of the only times it's quiet, when most people have already left the gym to go to work. lunch can be busy, but manageable. it's absolute crazy in the evenings on monday and tuesday and tends to get a bit quieter as the week goes on.

there's so much equipment that it's still ok most of the time, the blue gym downstairs is never as busy as the poser gym upstairs where all the instagram kids hang out.

still the best gym i've ever been a member of anywhere in the world!

I tend to be in around 9-10am midweek mornings and rarely if ever have an issue getting access to equipment, benches etc. I'd say there's been a handful of times in the last year or so when the equipment I wanted to use wasn't available when I wanted it. I also go at 8am on Saturdays/Sundays sometimes and it tends to be similar.

I've never been much of a gym goer and have only really gotten going in the last year but having done pay as you go in several gyms elsewhere when away for weekends etc I think Westwood is great.

The leisure suite (again when not overly busy) is class too.
