Painting furniture

    hello,


    rust eoleum furniture paint , graphite colour is drying much lighter than colour on tin. Wood is bare having been sanded . Anyone out their know why?

    Dis you lighten the tone of the wood significantly by sanding? Did you clean it properly of dust after sanding and before painting?

    Maybe try a second coat in an inconspicuous area to see if that helps.

    ETA I note the manufacturer says No Sanding, One Coat
