Woodstown Beach Pollution

    Just wondering has anyone noticed the state of one of our nicest beaches lately? The amount of pollution/ rubbish from the oyster fishery on the beach is absolutely disgraceful. It is impossible to walk two meters on the beach now without seeing oyster cages, rubber bands, rope, steel rings, gloves etc. everywhere! This problem i might add, is not exclusive to Woodstown but also to be found on other beaches nearby. I see no outcry anywhere about this…why? Is this now considered acceptable just beacause it creates a few jobs? Surely the company involved should at the very least have to clean up their pollution?

    I visited recently enough and was very disappointed to see it in such a state. I don't understand why the oyster fishery was allowed at all.

    Forenaught/Creadon Beach next door the same. Who polices this; WCCC, Fisheries authority, Inland waterways authority?
