Anyone noticed that the outdoor Christmas Decorations are still up in both Main Street Ballincollig and on Paul street (Rory Gallagher Place)? Nearly 7 weeks into the new year I think it’s time they were taken down. Who looks after these - the city council?

These were finally taken down in Ballincollig this week - maybe they just forgot……..,

Also, who’s handling that in Ballincollig? Is it the council or is it the local Tidy Towns committee? If it’s the latter, then I can’t really blame them. The weather hasn’t exactly been conducive to extensive outdoor activities, and from what I can see, the Tidy Towns volunteers aren’t exactly getting any younger.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

From what I hear it’s the local business association that pay an electrician to do the work. Never remember them being left in place until March before though. The longer they’re left up the more weather damage they are exposed to.
