Before MUTV, LFCTV, Chelsea TV & Barca TV there was Boro TV, the first football club channel in the world. I'm curious tho how did you pick it up? Was it on Sky Analogue, I had Sky Digital from around 2001 & can't remember it being on there, I remember reading a thread years ago I think on Digital Spy, that in England you couldn;t get in the north (where Middlesbrough is). Was it on a foreign satellite position like 13e or 9e. I can't remember much about Sky Analogue but were there stand-alone premium channels you could buy like MUTV, Premier Sports, AMC, Chelsea TV, Playboy etc. Could you buy Premium stand alone channels on Sky Analogue? If it was on a cable network would it have been included as part of the overall monthly payment package?

It was a niche channel on NTL cable aimed at … Middlesbrough. Google is your friend.

Thanks, I saw it was on NTL, that's what a user in the Digital Spy forum was complaining the channel wasn't aavailable in the Boro area. Yes, it was a niche channel but it started a trend, with MUTV coming out a year later and in Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona & Real Madrid (among clubs who had short lived channels like Celtic & Rangers) getting their own channels as premium services.
