VRT Exemption-Can I take in 2 cars per person

I'm moving back home from England in about 7 months with my wife. I'm getting things in order for bringing in our cars (looking to upgrade one of them as it's on high mileage and thinking of getting something nice to tide me over for a few years). We have three cars currently and I was under the impression that I can only take in one car each under the VRT & VAT exemption. I came across that you can take in as many cars as you own, but can find nothing on Revenue's website that confirms or denies this.

Can anyone advise if they've been able to bring in more than 1 car per person previously?
