Not entitled to illness benefit

    SOmeone I know is out sick and not entitled to sick pay , not entitled to illness benefit as not enough prsi. Does this sound right, what are they entitled to I wonder? Thanks

    Yes, it's possible, if they haven't been working long, they might not have enough prsi.

    If they have no income, they can apply for Supplementary Welfare Allowance, which is a means tested payment.

    Contact the local intreo office for more details and application form.
