an auctioneer at a wedding was telling me that the price of sites in rural areas in Meath is not very high at the minute and any that come onto the market are getting hard to move, has anyone any experience of this lately? anyone bought a site in rural area im talking 0.5 to 0.75 size

Don't know if you are from the area but Meath has a very strict local needs policy for building houses on sites. Might make it hard to shift them if they are difficult for most folk to build on

yea I am fro meath. do you know what the rules around it are? i would have thought they would be in huge demand as people like to build the dream house of their own design and sometimes dont want to live in a suburban estate.

Read the Development Plan for the County particularly the sections dealing with rural housing and development.
