I wouldn't, let them book and pay for it if they don't give you a card.

credit cards have additional fees, stamp duty etc, and are a line of credit open on your CCR report.

The CCR are impossible to deal with, they take the lenders word everytime, I have had to go twice to the financial services ombudsman and it took 2 years each time (long long waiting list) to have them correct the lenders mistakes.

I was only lucky I had a good record with my Credit Union that saved me when I needed loans.

I ended up getting the aer lingus card in the end.

The company has paid for all CC credit fees including the monthly charge. I do have to have expenses in before the 1st of the month to get them paid out that month.

Me and the family have also had 2 holidays pretty much for free for 3 people so far due to using avios points and from the CC benefit of 2 free flights to Europe. I had to pay taxes and for extra luggage for one of the holiday. The flights for both holidays cost me like €150 in total. Where they the flights per person should of been around €300 for each trip return. Probably saved myself around 1500-1600 on flights.

Thats not including all of the money we saved in food and drink from getting free lounge access also.

So it has worked out well in the end for me.
