Hi, what would be the best way to clean these old thermal panels? Would a power washing be too harsh on them or is there any particular solution I could spray on them and leave them soak

    How high up are they?

I'd soak them in standard glass cleaner and then run a plastic scraper over the lichen, hose-down, then clean with a glass sponge and polish off with a squeegee.

It's a dormer bungalow, not the easiest to access as the roof is a natural slate, so there'd be no grip like a tile roof.

I can get a extentable lance for my power washer and was hoping to use some detergent and not have to go cleaning them from a ladder.

Get one of these - very strong. Takes a little while to get used to it, but great for all high reach cleaning. Comes with a soft brush for solar panels.

That looks the job. And safer to stay on the ground if at all possible

    Great for gutters too.

    Not cheap, but decent quality.
