    Hey all. Been lurking here for a long time and always wondered if it would be useful to talk about Crypto in a more macro / cycle focused way. Not to discuss specific coins/projects but just where are we at in the cycle etc. BTC is its own thing so other than how it correlates with other Crypto's, did not want to discuss BTC in and of itself.

    Looks like alt season will begin soon - there is a site here https://www.blockchaincenter.net/en/altcoin-season-index/ that tracks the prevalence of BTC vs other coins. When BTC's dominance falls below a certain point, we are technically in alt season. Do people really believe in this, and take action based on it?

    Been reading a lot more online of late and House of Crypto on YouTube seems OK - anyone got an views on that channel? He is spelling out a raging bull market incoming which will last until late Spring. If these cycles are to be followed, then I think really important to know that, and focus less on what one coin is doing and more broadly knowing where the overall market it at. Very sceptical of YouTube overall though - you never know what their real intentions are.

    Have definitely misunderstood where the cycle is at in 2017 and 2021 and neglected to take gains. Held bags up to now as a result. Do not want to make the same mistake again, and want to be more focused on the cycle and take gains at the right time, rather than riding coins all the way down again.

    Love to hear what others think in terms of good and reliable resources, and also where we are at in the cycle and where people think it's going over 2025+.
