Recommended Electro-acoustic solo setup to start gigging?

Hi to all, after many years of 'home-playing' (thought that might sound better than playing with myself), I'm ready to jump into some live-gigs. Nothing too flash just a few local-ish pubs to begin with then will see where that takes me.

Aside from that, having just built a 'leisure-room' out the back of our place I'm gagging to set myself up with some decent kit in there.

Although not completely thick I concede that aside from knowing the difference between active and passive speakers there's so much kit out there that I'm at a loss of where to start.

Originally I was thinking a JBL battery type setup but then I'm reading the stated RMS power output needs to be far less for a battery setup so it seems something like a decent spec single powered RCF speaker might be more suited to a pub setting?

I need a mixer that could deal with up to say 2 or 3 guitars and a couple of mikes. I'm not a fan of backing tracks or OTT effects but it seems in most environments it might be difficult to be heard without such toys? Never yet tried a loop station but think I could get some benefit from one with a bit of practice. Also could do with recommendations to go wireless both for guitar and mikes assuming thats do-able within budget of say up to €2k-ish.

Cheers in advance for any pointers, nice to be nice 😉

Hi, when i did one man band with backing tracks i had a powered mixer desk, JBL Eon 15 speakers on Stands and tc helicon voice tone correct to handle a bit of vocal processing. Compression etc.

I was using a variax as my guitar so it covered accoustic 6 and 12 string plus electric tones when needed.

I had a wireless in ear monitor setup as well. Some will say overkill but getting the mix direct back to you can be useful because you will usually be behind the speakers

My advice for one man band stuff is a bit vague but consider what size venues you may be in as that will decide on what power system you need. Also as you are going to be hauling this stuff around consider the size and weight of what you get. Will it fit in your car/van etc.

If i was doing it again and goung for a more modern setup i would be considering some of the line array rigs just for ease of use, something more modern from tc helicon the tech has really moved in this space in the last while. Dont forget a good mic. I was always a fan of the Shure SM58. Bomb proof for gigging.
