Myenergi experts? Adding a battery to eddi and zappi

I currently have a Zappi and Eddi setup. The Eddi is in master mode, with the Zappi and Hub as linked devices. I am looking to replace my inverter and add a new one with battery storage. My Eddi CT config is "CT1: Grid", CT2: Generation Only".

Am I correct in thinking that there should be some capacity for a new CT clamp on the zappi and that I can use that integrate/monitor the new battery I install? The zappi looks like it's only using it's CTINT for internal load.

I am looking at the Sofar Powerall - not that that should make a difference to what I am looking for!

You can only add an AC battery inverter to see battery properly because with a DC (string inverter) the clamp has no way of knowing if the electricity is being supplied from PV or Battery source.

You can add a CT to either your Zappi or EDDI so there is space

Ah, so I can't get a nice "Battery" icon showing on my Myenergi app (and or add it to my HA as an entity etc.). That is a pity. Thanks for the reply.

you can add the icon if it is on a separate inverter but can only be used for real-time viewing. Myenergy app won’t store the data
