    At a glance

    1a might be COCK ROBIN

    17a SQUIRTED

    24a MEANIE

    29a DONER KEBAB

    34a ANGST

You give the numbers for the first 36 across. It would help if you gave the numbers for the others.

40D is biscuits, an anagram of "cubs i sit".

62a is sanctus, an anagram of "sun acts".

    4d is badge

    48a is slice

41d might be tie, it's not great though.

I could see that working too. Tie works, but it feels like it's only 80% right to me. Vie does seem to sit a bit better with the clue.

48 A ….could be snipe instead of slice

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,842 ✭✭✭brian_t

To Snipe might mean 'to make a cutting remark' but the word has nothing to do with golf.

To Slice something means 'to cut it' but it also refers to a particular type of golf shot.
