Black Friday supposed deals

BF is getting more and more disappointing as each year passes. The offer of genuine deals seems to be a thing of the past.

Was on the look out for a Kindle.

It was 124.99 on Amazon for weeks, popped on this morning to see what it was reduced to.

It's still 124.99, but now it has a big red banner beside it saying BLACK FRIDAY DEAL. Which of course is not a 'deal' i couldn't have got over the last few weeks.

Pity it doesn't name and shame the 4 retailers who will be in court over fake deals

Black Friday in Ireland at least is a total con. People just need to do their research and check pricing and don’t wait for Black Friday as it usually is only the clearance stuff they reduce anyway.

I had been looking at a jumper on Powercut Clothing, was in the outlet section, €60 down to €20. This was about 2 weeks ago

Had it put into the bag but never got around to purchasing it. I remembered it yesterday so went online and it had gone up to €30 and today has an extra BF discount of 20%, so back down to €24, but all more expensive then it was 2 weeks ago

All just a big scam really isn't it

The only thing I have seen get cheaper on BF is the fitbit charge 6, I have been following the price since August as my Charge 5 needs replacing and today on Amazon it was £90, about £20 cheaper than it typically was … having said that I picked one up a few weeks ago from an Irish store that had it reduced for €110 as I didn't think it would get much cheaper and I was right😎

Everything else I am interested in was either hiked last month to be reduced to normal price now or simply didn't change in price.

I think our (greedy) retailer friends have firmly shot themselves in the foot.. I remember when Black Friday started around these shores and it was actually good and lasted one day or weekend only. Now it is basically on for a month or even longer and I only see negative press around it and very few real deals. I am glad people are copping on.

I'm sure that 50 will be spent wisely and there's no chance of misappropriation 😉

Don't they need to be found guilty first?

But you can have a wild guess at who they are 🤣

Ive been on the look for for a cheap 50" TV for the last few months so been keeping an eye on prices, not in a panic so decided to wait. No black friday deals are cheaper than previous offers as far as I can see.

    Fake rrps are another issue.

The DualSense controller was never €110 either.

Bought a dehumidifier 4 weeks ago for slightly less than it's supposed black Friday price. It's a scam at this point.

I saw a gaming monitor I wanted in curry’s. I have €150 in vouchers, but the monitor was for delivery or deliver to store to collect, but they don’t take vouchers online

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.
