SAJ Solar inverter using Elekeeper app

We had solar panels installed recently and the inverter they used is from SAJ- I am concerned about personal data as the website/app you login to is Chinese. I didn't realise this when I was purchasing- Elekeeper is the app for the phone and it only has 100k downloads

This is the site you login to:

    https://eop.saj-electric.com/login

This is the only real review I could find on the inverter

    https://www.solarchoice.net.au/products/inverters/SAJ-Inverters-Review/

I have emailed the company to advise on other options but they have been slow to get back to me so far.

Does anybody else use this inverter and app?

Nearly every inverter logs to the same service, (mostly the solarman back end, still china. Solis have moved to their own service with the new dongles but still a service in china.

If you have concerns about personal data, the only real option is to log locally. With the likes of home assistant.

We also had solar panels installed recently and have the SAJ inverter and battery. Started using the Elekeeper app but didn't have any concerns. I know my installer is also going to keep an eye on things and schedule the battery charging times, etc. I would, however, like to know where you can find out more information about the app and what everything means, and also how to figure out settings/scheduling myself. I've searched online and have only found a YouTube video that looks like it is more for the installer than the user. Thanks for any advice.

Is there anything particular you'd like to know?

I have solar panels and a battery connected to a SAJ H1-4K-S2 using the Elekeeper app. It's set to TOU mode to charge the battery from 2am - 6am. Then it runs in self-consumption mode until around 10pm (still tinkering). Finally it runs in TOU-Sale mode where the battery begins to export any leftover power to the grid before repeating the cycle.

hi also have a saj inverter and 15kwh battery I just leave it on time of use all the time charge my battery from 2am to 6am for 7.54c and the very little solar I’m making in these months I’m letting it go back to the grid for 24c.

The 15kwh is just about right for our household. The app is very straightforward as it’s more just charts you can click in and out of adding power import and load consumption.

Just make sure you inverter firmware is up to date I had to email them and they done it over the air my installer did not know about the update I only read about on some uk site.

    Module firmware version V1.211

    Display Board version v4.009

    Control Board version v4.018

They told me there was no update for the batteries

    Bms software version v0.27

    Bms hardware version v1.04
