Old Virgin Prunes fan here. So when I saw Gavin Friday throwing a show in Dublin I got excited.

However having never been to vicar str I want to ask those who know more. I dont fancy sharing a small round table with 3 unknown for the show. So Im tempted buying a seat on the balconies ( block a,b,c). How is the view from there? Any hints? Are the side ones better or the one just opposite the stage?

    Thanks in advance

    a, b c are not balconies, they are downstairs seating. Would recommend d, E , F upstairs.
block E is the best one but more often than not for a local act it doesn’t go on sale as it’s kept for artist guestlist.
Block D and F are fine and there really isn’t a dud seat upstairs

I agree with Fan Irish. I also find the seats at the tables a bit inconvenient, my lower back doesn't appreciate them at all 🙃😂

When I bought my ticket yesterday there were no seats on Block E - I assume for the reason Fan Irish mentioned. Sometimes a few seats may appear closer to the gig. Plenty of seats at blocks D and F though.

If you look downstairs, avoid Block B. It's in the back and you will have people walking to and from the bar.
