Not sure if this is the right place

I've had a cyst removed from the cheek and I think the doc said keep the dressing on for 5 days but after that should I keep it covered? What should I use? Don't really want to be walking around with stiches sticking out of my face.

Also picked up some Bio-Oil - when should I start using it? May not be that good looking but would rather a minimal of an obvious scar as much as possible

You’re doing well! To say the least, keep that dressing on as your doc told you. If you wish, you should replace your wound dressing after 5 days with an airy one. Bio-Oil shouldn’t be applied until the stitches are removed and the skin is a little different, it’s best to begin using it in about a week after the surgery. Just be gentle with it! You'll heal up nicely.

Thanks - the stitches are dissolvable which I think said they takes up to 3 weeks to be gone
