Cost of Dyslexia assessment

    does anyone know the cost of a private assessment for dyslexia? My son is on a waiting list from dyslexia Ireland and it’s a year. He is in second class and is falling behind. Today I got a response from a psychologist after mailing a few and he charges €1000 for the assessment. It seems a lot of money but I will Find it if that is the going rate. My question is is that an average price for a private assessment for dyslexia?

    Paid €600 about 4 years ago waiting list almost year but got seen faster. Think they know a best age/time of year ..

    West of country. Asked a teacher (from different school) for recommendations they said notice from some physiologist a generic type report sent back to school.

    I do not think the additional support given at school was changed much but it was useful to make sure the support kept going when improvements made
