    Hi,

Just came across this HACS integration that will set up a simulated home battery in Home Assistant to see if you had a battery how it would preform and how much money you can save using your live energy consumption data. I have just set it up and just learning about it but it might look like a handy little integration. I think you can set up multiple different battery sizes and brands to compare. It has a few commercial brands already set up like Tesla power wall but from the picture below you can put in your own DIY battery.

Don't know how sophisticated it can get but it looks ok and might be worth a try for people who are thinking about getting a battery or looking to expand..

GitHub - hif2k1/battery_sim: Home assistant home battery simulator - allows you to model how much energy you would save with a home battery

Hopefully it can track multiple tariffs as I have my Bord Gais Tariffs set up nicely now

This is only after 5 mins work I simulated a Tesla PowerWall…don't know if its working yet

That's cool. If that was there a couple of years ago I might not have bothered with writing the eco power optimiser app.

There isn't that much documentation in there on how it works though…It might be trial and error I think

Great find @ECO_Mental thanks for sharing. I will definitely look into that.

I've just moved to Bord Gais smart EV plan and have home assistant and a shelly em running . I am just looking into how i might go about getting the tariffs configured and was wondering if you have any advice. Any advice on where should I start?

To be honest I gave up on this intergration…couldnt get it to work dont know what I was doing wrong but I lost interest in it.

TO get Tarrifs goign in HA you need to set up a helper for a utility, then that allows you to assign tarrifs. There is another thread where I detailed how to do this I just need to think where I did it🤔

    Edit: here ya go..
